February is Black History Month. Later this month (on Sunday, February 23rd at 7:15, upstairs at Newman) we’ll be showing the film, A Place at the Table: African Americans on the Path to Sainthood. This documentary highlights the lives of seven remarkable African Americans on the path to canonization. It explores their unique stories of faith, contributions, and struggles in a society often resistant to their recognition. Through interviews and reenactments, viewers see their impact on communities and the Church. The film addresses issues of race, spirituality, and holiness while celebrating resilience and community. Join us in honoring these lives and supporting wider recognition of their legacies. Experience this profound testament to faith in action. Join us. We’ll have popcorn!
