Fr. Justin, who helped us at Newman this past year, was ordained into the priesthood on Wednesday, July 15, at 5pm at Blessed Sacrament Parish in Hollywood, CA. He was joined by Gregory Sean Celio, SJ. They both belong to the Jesuits West Province.
During his diaconate year at the Jesuit School of Theology, he did his pastoral assignment with us. He helped each Sunday, serving as a deacon and preaching. He also helped with the various student groups and started a Filipino group. His last ministerial activity was blessing our cars as we drove by his neighborhood during our Pentecost Road Rally. We are going to miss him.
Fr. Justin is now serving as an associate pastor at Delores Mission in Los Angeles. If you are in the area, drop by to say hello. We are extremely happy for Deacon Justin and what a blessing he will be to the people of Los Angeles.
