Newman parishioner, Oliver Williamson entered into eternal life on May 21, 2020. For nearly three decades he was a UC Berkeley Haas School of Business professor. He earned a Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences. Though not a Catholic, he faithfully attended Mass with his family, starting with the 7:30am Mass. This is one of the blessings of marrying a wonderful Italian Catholic girl. When he was 60, through the help of Fr. Al, he became Catholic. He was also a faithful member of our Newman Faculty Dinner and Discussion Group.
He is survived by his five children and five grandchildren: son Scott (Susanna Krentz), daughter Tamara (Don Mohr), daughter Karen (Robert Indergand), son Oliver Jr. (Anna Suszanowicz), and son Dean (Mihoko Matsue); and grandchildren Kimberly and Kristin Indergand, Claire and Peter Williamson, and Erin Mohr. He was equally proud of his niece, Katherine Frisbie, and nephew, Steven Frisbie (Jennifer). He was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Dolores Celini Williamson, in 2012.
