In lieu of classic student retreat, we will be holding a weekend of engagement for students to delve into how our faith intersects with our secular lives, with our political world, and with our social justice spheres ~ all with roots and foundations in our faith and in Catholic social teachings. We will be tackling the questions, what does it mean to be Catholic in the world today? How do I have conversations with loved ones and strangers? How does my faith operate in my daily life?
The weekend will include talks and presentations from our lovely retreat leaders on topics ranging from environmental issues, the history of colonization and the church, self-care in a global pandemic, and so much more. The weekend will also include fun opportunities to discuss and dialogue in small groups, fun online bonding with games and activities, as well as intentional moments of reflection, of journaling, and of prayer.
The (not a) retreat will be held from Friday, November 13, to Sunday November 15, with a mix of both asynchronous and synchronous activities. Students, register now to reserve your spot. For more info, contact Tracy or Nique.
