Linda Kuerster was an active parishioner of Newman until her death on November 22, 2019. She sadly was discovered in her apartment when folks noticed her long absence. Besides Sunday Mass, she was often seen attending daily Mass. Her favorite spot in Newman was the couch under the stairs or the Gallery. She was forever studying. Like a cat, she liked sitting in the sun on the sofa.

Despite having a somewhat demanding personality, she did find one receptionist she liked a lot, who understood her.
