Refugee Welcome Ministry

In response to our pope's and bishop's call to respond to the refugee crisis in our world, Newman Hall-Holy Spirit Parish has formed a Refugee Welcome Ministry.  We have collected funds and supplies from the parish to be able to sponsor a refugee family in conjunction with Catholic Charities of the East Bay.

We mainly help with rent, furnishing the apartment, and helping the family acclimatize to life in America.

To find out more information, contact Tom at refugeeministry@calnewman.org

To financially support the ministry, a check to Newman Hall with "Refugee Ministry" in the memo field, can be dropped off at the receptionist desk or electronic payment can be made with our e-giving, FaithDirect.  Just donate to the "Refugee Welcome Ministry" fund.
