Taize Prayer

What is Taize Prayer? When do they meet?
Taize is an ecumenical form of meditative prayer originating from
Taize,  France.   We sing short verses of Taize chants repeatedly,
as a form of meditation.   The music is sung in English, as well as,
in various other languages and during the school year, we are
accompanied by live musicians, such as the piano and cello.  ‬Also
there are readings,  prayer intercessions,  silence,  and an
opportunity to venerate the cross.    Taize is an hour long and is
wonderful way to experience a peaceful, calming, as well as,
spiritually uplifting time of prayer.  All are welcome and no
experience is necessary! We meet on the 2nd Friday of the month at 7:30pm at Newman Hall
