The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) have declared June 21st to July 4th a “Fortnight for Freedom” to address and acknowledge both Catholic and American heritage in regard to 1) religious liberty and 2) current and arising threats to religious liberty.
Here are some of the documents that can be found on the USCCB’s Fortnight4Freedom website:
We also invite you to read how some scholars and commentators responded to the bishops’ statement and initiative in 6 essays published in Commonweal Magazine.
On Sunday, July 8th, after the 9:30 a.m. Mass and 5 p.m. Mass, any who would like to gather for conversation are most welcome. For both conversations we’ll meet in the Hecker Room on the first floor.
