Science and Faith

Hi everyone!  Yet another enlightening discussion in a personal atmosphere seated in a circle with Dr. Russell!  I’m also grateful to have met a few more fellow students and parishioners.

The last talk of the semester is scheduled for near the end of April, and I’ll keep everyone posted on further details.

If you have any questions, comments, or would simply like to introduce yourself, please don’t hesitate to email me at alyssalisargent@berkeley.edu.  :)

***Please let me know if you would like to be added to the Science and Faith Facebook group or the Science and Faith mailing list to receive all the latest information! ***

Who is “Science and Faith” for?
This group is for anyone from any background or age interested in the relationship of science and Christian faith.  One of the most valuable aspects about this group is that it brings together people with different viewpoints and experiences.  Science and Faith opens minds and ultimately promotes understanding among people.

When does “Science and Faith” meet? What do they do?
Science and Faith meets roughly once a month during the academic year from 7:30 pm to 9 pm at Newman Hall.

The Science and Faith Group brings in UC Berkeley and Graduate Theological Union professors to provide their insight into the connections of “science and faith.” These talks, followed by a group discussion, involve professors’ personal experiences of faith in their research or focus on specific current topics such as stem cells, evolution, or cosmology.
